Welcome to the Youth Advisory Board Photo page.

(Here you can find all sorts of slightly emberassing pictures from some of our last few meetings.)

Funny Group Picture This is our wacky group pose from our first meeting.

Lock-in Fun Before all of the hard work, we first decided to have a little fun at our lock-in. Here's how you aren't supposed to play Dance Dance Revolution, but it's much easier to do than the traditional method.

More Lock-in Fun This is us having fun playing an ice breaker game. We all got very close to each other in this game.

Even More Lock-in Fun This is two of our members playing Dance Dance Revolution before our meeting.

Adults Can Have Fun Too Roland wouldn't just let the youth have fun, so he decided to try out Dance Dance Revolution for himself. He discovered it wasn't as easy as it looked.

Yab Hard at Work We finally got to work late into the night. At the meeting we discussed what we have done so far, and what we're going to do, and then some.

Yab Still Hard at Work Here we are, still doing work. At the meeting we shared the progress we had made since our last meeting, and then planned out next steps.

Yab Planning Adult Training Very late into the night, we broke up into two groups to do futher planning. This group is planning for the Adult Training Session that will take place in late April this year.

Yab Planning This is the other group that broke out to plan for the programming committee.

Scary People This is a member and her friend at the Volunteer Development Conference where we explained to adults that stereotypes for youth don't always work. These two may look weird but one's an honor's student and the other is going to be a minister. Looks can be deceiving.

Youth Training Adults "I like football..." is what this guy said when he was helping to dispell stereotypes about youth. During the question and answer period we shared our favorite memories from camp and told why we keep coming back to U.M. ARMY. We also gave the adults a few tips including the best adults are the ones that see the rules more as "guidelines".

Stereotypes This is the entire group that trained adults. We had the nerd, the jock, the cool guy, the lazy college guy, the goth, the "emo" (emotional) kid, the hick, the preppy girl, and the invisible girl. Each of us shared what adults may think about us when they first meet us, but then we went a little deeper and explained what we were actually like.
