Welcome to the Youth Advisory Board Home Page!
The Youth Advisory Board was created in 1995 to be a link between
the adults planning the camps and the youth attending them. The YAB
consists of six High School students and six College students.
The purpose of the Youth Advisory Board is to:
- Be a Christ-centered team.
- Establish harmony between work camps, adults, and youth.
- Be a functioning link between the youth and the U.M. ARMY Board of Directors.
- Communicate the mission of U.M. ARMY to the adults and youth of the community.
The requirements to serve on the YAB are that you are in either high
school or college, and that you have gone to at least one U.M. ARMY
camp. You must also be willing to give of your time, talents, and
prayers to the YAB. As a member of the board you must also commit
yourself to living a Christ-like life and set an example to everyone in
your community. We meet about four times a year, and each member of
the board serves at least one officer position. During the summer the
members of the YAB visit multiple camps to promote the YAB.
Interested in being on the board? You can find two versions of the
application here. Regardless of the version you must have an adult
from your church write you a recommendation and mail it into Roland Huysman.
You can choose between the
printable version
and an
online verion.
If you have any further questions about the YAB you can contact
