Within the United Methodist Church groups of churches are organized into districts. Several districts are combined into conferences. There are 63 conferences wtihin the United Methodist church organizational structure in the United States. The conferences are organized into five jurisdictions within the United States. U.M. ARMY follows this same organizational structure.
